Educational qualifications:
 
Ø B.E / M.Tech / PhD in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university
Ø Formal training or certifications in ANSYS, CFD tools preferred
Ø Strong engineering fundamentals in mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid flow
Ø Excellent Interpersonal skills.

Relevant experience:

Ø 10 to 20 years of experience in structural and thermal analysis of industrial equipment
Ø Proficiency in tools such as ANSYS Workbench, APDL, Fluent, CFX, SolidWorks Simulation
Ø Hands-on experience in:
o  FEA: Static, dynamic (modal, harmonic), thermal, fatigue, and non-linear simulations
o  CFD: Flow, pressure drop, heat transfer, and thermal-fluid interaction
Ø Exposure to seismic and response spectrum analysis
Ø Familiarity with ASME, IS, DIN, ANSI, and other relevant standards
Ø Ability to correlate simulation results with hand calculations
Ø Experience in scripting (APDL/Python) and automation of simulation workflows
Ø Strong report writing and presentation skills
Ø Experience working with global clients and cross-functional teams

 

Typical Roles & Responsibilities

 
Ø Conduct FEA and CFD analysis for validation and optimization of mechanical equipment
Ø Perform simulations such as stress, thermal, fatigue, vibration, and flow-related studies
Ø Develop and validate simulation models with appropriate boundary conditions and material properties
Ø Prepare comprehensive analysis reports and recommend design improvements
Ø Automate simulation tasks using scripting (APDL / Python)
Ø Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and failure analysis
Ø Collaborate with  design,  process, and  manufacturing teams for integrated engineering solutions
Ø Ensure adherence to engineering codes and standards in all simulations
Ø Review of Equipment 3D Models & Detail drawings as per client standard.
Ø Mentor junior engineers on simulation methods and tools
Ø Any other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
