BASIC PURPOSE:
To work with a team of engineers and customers, supporting the implementation and growth of PLM processes within Mechanical Engineering by managing product data, item creation, build structures, and engineering information in ENOVIA. The role ensures accurate data management and provides support to engineering teams working on equipment for the Metals, Minerals, Mining, and Chemical industries.
 
 
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Educational qualifications & Skills:    
Ø B.E in Mechanical from a reputed University
Ø Working knowledge of ENOVIA
Ø Understanding of engineering documentation, product structures, and item/BOM concepts.
Ø Good interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Relevant experience:
Ø 5 to 8 years of experience in PLM, PDM, or Engineering Data Management.
Ø Experience in product data upgrades, item creation, spare parts item creation, and build creation in Enovia / PLM systems.
Ø Exposure to mechanical equipment design, engineering workflows, and change management is preferred.
Ø Familiarity with CAD tools (Inventor/SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and CAD-PLM integrations is an advantage.
Ø Experience working with global or cross-functional engineering teams is desirable.
 
 
TYPICAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Ø Support ENOVIA PLM activities including product data upgrade, item creation, spare parts item creation, and build creation.
Ø Maintain engineering data accuracy, product structures, metadata, and version control.
Ø Assist engineering teams with document/model release processes and resolve basic PLM-related issues.
Ø Coordinate with CAD users to ensure correct associations, naming conventions, and data consistency.
Ø Prepare and update PLM trackers and reports required for project execution.
Ø Support the development of PLM standards, templates, and best practices as the PLM ecosystem evolves.
Ø Any other relevant activities as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
